Position:

1. PROCUREMENT EXECUTIVE

Responsibilities:

• Assisting in sourcing direct and indirect materials requested by the internal departments, dealing with suppliers and negotiating for the best price and payment term.
• Planning for the purchase of equipment, services and supplies. Work with internal departments to determine procurement needs, quality and delivery requirements.
• Reviewing, comparing, evaluating and recommending products and services.
• Liaise with suppliers for timely delivery, coordinate and monitor all purchases to avoid any shortages, overcharges and breakage.
• Managing supply chain-related tasks, analysing the cost reduction activities and alternative part replacements.
• Assisting in the establishment of a comprehensive vendor database, selection of appropriate suppliers and contractors to promote good procurement practices with due regard to sustainability, ethical purchasing standards and costing.
• Maintaining good supplier relations.
• Negotiating contracts and monitoring the documentation of the contract, contract management, contract database and vendor performance evaluation.
• Researching and evaluating prospective suppliers and enlarging the quality vendors pool for IIUMH.
• Maintaining and updating the supplier registration database of IIUMH Group.
• Preparing purchase orders and monitoring for payment to suppliers on time.
• Monitoring and enforcing the Group Procurement Policy and Guidelines across the Group and assisting in the updating and reviewing of the policies and procedures.

Be part of the secretariat of the Management of Procurement Committee (MPC) and Procurement Committee (PC) responsible to

a)Act as coordinator for the compilation of proposal papers, presentations and other materials from the Group for circulation to the MPC and PC, and presentation during the meeting;

b)    Follow up on all the proposal papers as per the agenda to ensure they are submitted on a timely 

basis;

c)    Assist to ensure the PCs’ recommendations presented to the IIUMH Board are supported by procurement proposal papers, including an extract of the PC minutes that explains the rationale of the PC’s recommendation; and

d)    Assist to facilitate MPC and PC members on all matters pertaining to the MPC and PC’s function and duties.

Carry out other tasks and duties as assigned by the Superior.

Requirement:

• At least 3 years of relevant experience.
• Bachelor degree in a related field with competent working experience.
• Good working attitude, self-discipline and self-motivated.
• Good computer skills including Word, Excel, MS Outlook and PowerPoint.
