Job Description:
EFM Management and Monitoring
Perform performance analysis periodically (such as Sharpe Ratio, Standard Deviation and other performance metrics where applicable);
Provide regular updates on EFMs’ performances to Team Lead;
Assist Team Lead to review EFMs' performances through regular engagement / discussion to ensure that EFMs are managing Khazanah funds appropriately to meet target returns;
Research and share with the wider investment team on latest EFM related trends, competitive landscape, and insights obtained via engagement with managers; and
Participate in and contribute to weekly Public Market business unit’s meetings and/ or investment recommendation meetings.
EFM selection
Assist Team Lead to create and maintain database of potential managers in each region.
Assist Team Lead to liaise with internal and external parties to onboard selected managers.
Assist Team Lead to review and negotiate fee structure, Investor Management Agreements, TOEs where applicable.
Assist Team Lead in outsourcing mandates ie screening, interview, due diligence exercises to identify suitable fund houses to manage Khazanah funds regionally.
Continuous research on ways to improve processes and procedures to EFM selection which include analysing potential managers’ ex-post performances and other qualitative criteria, interview, engage and due diligence potential managers.
Stakeholder Management
Support Team Lead in all EFM and other admin matters.
Maintain positive relationships with team and key stakeholders within the organization and related external parties.
Work closely with external managers, consultants, brokers, external counsels, and other divisions within Khazanah (where applicable) to achieve optimal performance.
Provide guidance to other more junior team members.
1-3 years of experience in a relevant functional discipline (Equity Research, Consultancy, Asset Allocation or Portfolio Management/ Portfolio Analytics).
Good analytical, researching and presentation skills.
Proven track record in displaying high initiative, intellectual curiosity, strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to collaborate with peers in a high-performing team.
A minimum of a Bachelor's Degree and/or Master’s Degree in any discipline. CFA or CIPM is a plus.

Khazanah was incorporated under the Companies Act 2016 on 3 September 1993 as a public limited company and began operations a year later. Except for one share owned by the Federal Lands Commissioner, all the share capital of Khazanah is owned by the Minister of Finance Incorporated, a body pursuant to the Ministry of Finance (Incorporation) Act 1957.
