1. LEGAL MANAGER
Responsibilities:
+ Overall legal advisory on day to day operation of the University;
+ Drafting of Research & Development Agreements, Collaboration Agreements, Memorandum of Understandings, Memorandum of Agreements, Non-disclosure Agreements, Confidentiality Agreements and various others agreements relating to the university’s activities and collaborations;
+ Acting as Prosecutor in employee Domestic Inquiries;
+ Acting as Advisor to Students Disciplinary Board and attending students disciplinary inquiries;
+ Review and drafting of Constitution of the University and Students Code of Conduct;
+ Advising on legal implication of transactions / collaborations with other educational institutions, both local and international;
+ Liaising with Ministry of Higher Education on various aspects of laws, policies and procedures affecting private institutes of higher learning;
+ Advising on procurement procedures and processes;
+ Review and drafting of tender documents and procurement related documentations;
+ Liaising and dealing with in-house Union;
+ Liaising with Ministry of Human Resource and attendance at Labour Office and Court for employer representation;
+ Advising on intellectual property laws and activities; and
+ Ensure compliance with laws, policies and procedures governing private higher learning institutions.
