Sejarah berkembangnya AIM berkait rapat dengan penubuhan Bank Grameen. Sejarah bermulanya Bank Grameen adalah apabila Dr Muhammad Yunus, Pensyarah Ekonomi di Universiti Chittagong Bangladesh menjalankan kajian pada tahun 1976 mengenai golongan miskin yang jarang melibatkan diri dalam dunia perbankan.

Daripada kajiannya mendapati golongan miskin ini tidak berupaya untuk meningkatkan taraf hidup mereka adalah kerana tidak mempunyai modal yang mencukupi. Oleh itu, Prof. Yunus mencadangkan bahawa jika golongan miskin ini diberi suntikan modal pada masa dan situasi yang betul pasti akan dapat membina sebuah pembangunan yang pesat.

Jawatan:

1. EXECUTIVE, OPERATIONS DEPARTMENT 1 – GLOBAL TRANSACTION SERVICES UNIT - 2 Positions


Main responsibilities:

o Prepare and ensure instructions for trade settlement are correct and submitted to Global Custodians, Financial Institutions and Counterparties on or before the settlement date.

o Prepare and ensure fund transfer and FX instructions via online or manual are submitted to Global Custodians and Financial Institutions on or before the value date.

o Monitor Corporate Action Entitlement and ensure all the entitlements are properly updated in the Logbook and back office system in a timely manner.

o Prepare and ensure the quarterly report to BNM are completed and submitted according to the timeline.

o Prepare and ensure all instructions related to Subscription & Redemption of units, Money Market and Investment in Private Equity are submitted in a timely manner to Sub-Custodians/Financial Institutions/Fund Houses or Private Equity Managers.

o Monitor and effect the adjustment in the back-office system for any difference in the funds’ NAV.

o Ensure the payment listing have been prepared, authorized and faxed to UTMC on the same day.

o Monitor any tax and audit matters related to the investment in foreign markets.


Qualification / Requirements:

o Degree in Business Studies / Accountancy / Finance / Economic and /or any related field from a recognized university / college.

o At least 3 years working experience with Trust Company and/or relevant experience in Capital Market industry will be an added advantage.


Required Skills:

o Proficient and Good Communications skill in English and Bahasa Malaysia

o Good in Writing and Analytic skill

o Meticulous skill

o Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications i.e. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint and Outlook.


2. SENIOR EXECUTIVE, OPERATIONS DEPARTMENT 1 – GLOBAL TRANSACTION SERVICES UNIT - 1 Position


Main Responsibilities:

o Verify, authorize and ensure trade settlement instructions, fund transfer and FX instructions via online or manual are correct and submitted to Global Custodians, Financial Institutions and Counterparties on or before the settlement date.

o Verify, authorize and ensure all instructions related to Subscription & Redemption of units, Money Market and Investment in Private Equity are submitted in a timely manner to Sub-Custodians/Financial Institutions/Fund Houses or Private Equity Managers.

o Monitor the preparation of Bank Negara Report, verify, authorize and ensure the quarterly report to BNM are completed and submitted according to the timeline.

o Check and approve transactions in MFund for daily settlement, Corporate Actions Entitlements, monthly adjustment and Master Set-up.

o Ensure the payment listing have been prepared, authorized and faxed to UTMC on the same day.

o Monitor any tax and audit matters related to the investment in foreign markets.

o Ensure proper signing of operational documents including instructions for payments/transfer of funds and cheques for the company.


Qualification / Requirements:

o Degree in Business Studies / Accountancy / Finance / Economics and /or any related field from a recognized university / college.

o At least 3 – 5 years’ working experience with Trust Company and/or relevant experience in Capital Market industry will be an added advantage.
