Latar Belakang
Kuantan Port Consortium Sdn. Bhd. (KPC), is jointly owned by IJM Corporation Berhad, a public listed company on Bursa Malaysia and Beibu Gulf Holding (Hong Kong) Co. Ltd. on a 60:40 equity holdings with the Government of Malaysia having a special rights share.
KPC is given the concession period of thirty (30) years since 1998 to manage, operate and develop Kuantan Port through a Privatisation Agreement. The said agreement was replaced with a new Privatisation Agreement to include the New Deep Water Terminal (NDWT) being developed adjacent to the port. The agreement commences on June 1, 2015, for a period of 30 years plus another 30 years subject to fulfilment of certain obligation by KPC to the Government.

Jawatan:
1. HSE EXECUTIVE
Requirements:
- Candidate must possess Degree in Occupational Safety and Health or any degree in related field.
- At least three (3) years of working experience in the related field is required for this position.
- Attended Safety and Health Officer (SHO) course.
- Completed and pass all the examinations for SHO course.
- Experience in port operation is an added advantage.
- Strong command of spoken and written in Bahasa Malaysia and English.
- Strong computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office programs; Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
Key Responsibilities:
The roles are to support the various responsibilities of the HSE Department including:
- To assist in maintaining occupational safety, health and environment management of the work place in a timely manner especially for ISO45001 and ISO14001 certifications.
- To identify and evaluate existing workplace hazards, minimize occupational injury and illness and ensure compliance to legal and ISO requirements.
- To coordinate and enforce HSE procedures across employees, contractors, vendors, subcontractors and promote safe work cultures.
- To continuously plan, coordinate, implement, maintain and control all maintenance activities with regards to proper facility management.
- To participate in continuous improvement, Kaizen, 5S and other corporate initiative plan activities.
- Making regular site inspections.
- Planning safe working practices and making necessary changes.
- Keeping up to date and ensuring compliance with current health and safety legislation.
- Ensuring that equipment is installed correctly/safely.
- Writing reports, bulletins and newsletters.
- Undertaking risk assessments.
- Identifying potential hazards.
- Determining ways of reducing risks.
- Liaising with relevant authorities.
- Organising/attending health and safety meetings.
- Safely handling hazardous substances.
- Compiling statistics.
- Making recommendations following accidents/incidents.
- Keeping up to date with developments within the profession.
- Making presentations to groups of employees/managers.
- Providing health and safety training courses for employees and managers.
- Investigating/recording incidents, accidents, complaints and cases of ill health.
- Writing internal health and safety policies/strategies.
- Drawing-up safe operational procedures.
- To be assign other work tasks from time to time by the HOD.
