Positions:
1. SAFETY AND HEALTH OFFICER
Job Summary:
Responsible for developing, implementing and maintaining Environment, Safety and Health (ESH) programs to ensure compliance with relevant regulations and the established standards as per ISO system requirements accredited to the Company.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Performs studies, surveys, inspections and assessment on work environment, operation processes/procedures, tooling, equipment and facilities in the workplace in a timely manner or as and when needs arise.
- Identifies, plans, coordinates and executes improvement actions to manage and control hazards/aspects on-site, including proposal on effective control measures of hazardous conditions/materials.
- Coordinates, monitors and reports the performance of ESH which includes Hazards & Risk Management, Incident Reporting & Investigation, Safety Audits & Inspections, 5S activities, Waste Inventory, Workplace and Employees’ Monitoring, etc.
- Monitors and coordinates with various departments so that the ESH Matter Notes Server is updated in a timely manner.
- Provides advice, assistance, technical guidance and interpretation to the Management Team and all employees in ESH related problems.
- Develops and implements programs and policies for monitoring and preventing any ESH related hazards in the Company.
- Monitors, compiles and analyse information/data related to ESH issues, which are known or suspected of being real or potential detriments to health, in compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
- Facilitates and records minutes of ESH Committee Meeting (ESH Committee Secretary).
- Compiles and prepares ESH Monthly Report in the specified format and submit on time.
- Promotes the proper use of personal protection equipment (PPE) and ESH systems to all employees and workers on-site.
- Facilitates the understanding and compliance of the Company Policies and enforces implementation of ESH matters.
- Develops and conducts ESH related training for all employees and workers.
- Conducts internal IMS audits.
- Prepares and compiles ESH reports for Management Review.
- Adheres to Company’s policies and ESH regulations.
- Holds confidential all aspects of technical/ non-technical confidential information in which he/ she has access to as assigned by the Company.
- Involves in interview, recommends hiring of new employees, transfer, promotions, salary actions, subordinate's attendance, discipline handling and performance management.
- Any other duties and responsibilities assigned by the Company from time to time.
Requirements:
- Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor Degree in Engineering or Occupational, Safety and Health, with minimum 3.0 or 2nd class upper.
- Candidate must be certified Safety and Health Officer (SHO) and obtain Green Book with minimum 3 years safety and health working experience
- Computer Skills – Computer literate with good knowledge in Microsoft Office. Knowledge in Quality System (ISO 9001, IATF 16949, ISO 45001 and ISO 14001), RBA standards and Risk Management skills are required.
- Experiences in the electrical/electronic industry and registered with DOSH as Safety & Health Officer (SHO) will added as advantage.
