Job Roles:
The Data Engineer is responsible for the implementation of a Data Management and Analytics Platform. Primary responsibilities include:
- With respect to organization’s data management governance and policies, implement the necessary data management platform and enterprise data fabric;
- Responsible in ensuring expansion of the platform’s function with additional analytics capabilities as well as AI/ML capabilities;
- Responsible for the platform architecture and its implementation including data pipelines as well as various data processes;
- Responsible in assisting and ensuring compliance with data management governance and policies;
- If necessary must be able to perform programming and analysis tasks independently;
- Must be able to provide technical guidance to the end users as well as development teams.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Engineering/Computer Science/Information Technology or equivalent;
- Experience in ETL, SQL and various data query languages, data processing, etc;
- Knowledge in data storage solutions/technologies (SAN, NAS, Distributed Storage, Object Storage, etc);
- Knowledge of various SQL and NoSQL databases;
- Knowledge in various big data related tools, platforms, etc.
- Minimum 8 years’ experience in related fields above;
- Team player with good communication and interpersonal skill;
- Positive attitude, creative in problem solving and good analytic skills;
- Good spoken and written skills in English;
- Additional experience in programming/scripting languages such as C/C++, Python, Java, etc is an advantage.
