1. MANAGER, AVIATION SECURITY
Job role:
The manager, avsec is tasked for all aviation security matters falling under the jurisdiction of satssb at the airport and expected to manage overall airport security functions at senai international airport.
Knowledge & skills:
1. good command of written & spoken english and bahasa melayu
2. knowledge in use of spreadsheets, database, word processing and selected job specific software.
3. good communication skill
4. self-motivated and willing to "do what it takes" to get the job done
5. strong work ethic and ability to work with minimal supervision
6.attention to detail and accuracy
7. strong problem solving and analytical skills with the ability to clearly communicate and share solutions with fellow team members
8. excellent written, verbal, and communications skills to interact with stakeholders
9. able to multitask.
10. two months basic aviation training
11. six days computer generated training on screening equipment’s
12. additional training in icao requirements. recurrent training
13. firearms training
14. law enforcement training
15. courtesy, tact and caution training.
16. Eight years of experience in related field and highly recommended for candidates with peer group of forty one and below to apply.
Duties & Responsibilities:
1. to manage security units in aspects of standards, policies, operations, managements, services, training and prevention to be carried out efficiently and effectively.
2. to ensure availability of security surveillance and vehicles for maintaining airport category and undergoes process of preventive maintenance is carried out periodically.
3. to ensure the security equipments are in maximum operation and maintain properly for the best performance at any time.
4. to ensure safety and security comply the procedures in the civil act 1969, civil act 1996, civil aviation regulation 2016, civil aviation (fees & charges) 2016, mavcom regulation 2016, civil aviation (security) regulation 2019, restricted and protected area 1959, nfpa, ubbl and fire act.
5. to ensure security units have enough manpower in order to carry out operation and other activities related to securities responsibilities effectively.
6. to ensure all security personnel are physically fit and knowledgeable and always at emergency readiness to carry out duties.
7. to ensure compliance to international civil aviation organization (icao) standards through policies.
8. to ensure safety and security is carried out in accordance with icao, ubbl, fire act and civil act 2016.
9. to ensure full cooperation with all relevant departments and agencies in the aspect of airport certification, aerodrome certification, fire prevention programmes and security programmes.
10. successfully organized airline services upon request by respective airline as per ceo directive task.
