Description:
- Ensure the effective implementation of the coral restoration project including the maintenance and monitoring of the project site.
- Ensure the relevant data analysis for the maintenance and monitoring of coral restoration project in TMP can be carried out systematically.
- Ensure good coordination and relationship with the communities that involved in the coral restoration project.
- Ensure the effective implementation of Local Early Action Plan and climate change adaptation strategies in TMP.
- Assist in WWF Marine programs/activities in TMP where seen fit including giving talks, handling the logistics, manning exhibition and other activities.
- Ensuring safeguards of the communities and other stakeholders through regular review and monitoring of the Environmental and Social Safeguards Framework (ESSF).
- Participate wholeheartedly in the general activities of WWF - Malaysia, particularly events and activities that require the full support and participation of all staff members, whether or not the focus of any particular event or activity has any bearing on the job description and assigned project objectives and activities.
Following the task required, a Short Term Conservation Assistant will be working every month with output as below:
- Monthly report on the maintenance activities on the field.
- Quarterly report on the monitoring of coral restoration project.
- Documentations (Pictures, Videos, BTORs or Minute Meetings) on coral restoration project and CCA-LEAP related activities
- Effective engagement with relevant stakeholders and communities.
