Company Overview

The Credit Counselling and Debt Management Agency, or commonly known as Agensi Kaunseling dan Pengurusan Kredit (AKPK), is an agency set up by Bank Negara Malaysia in April 2006 to help individuals take control of their financial situation and gain peace of mind that comes from the wise use of credit. AKPK offers the following services to individuals, free of charge:
Financial education on the responsible use of money and credit management skills
Counselling and advice on financial management
Debt management programme to assist consumers to regain financial control.

Job Description:

Address queries received from customers via the following channels:
  • Micro Helpdesk (MEHD);
  • AKPK’s General Enquiry (GE) channel.

This could relate to DMP, SDRS or any other matters/general inquiries on banking services.

Develop the Financial Advisory Development (FAD) Module for SMEs which will act acts a guidance and reference to Financial Advisors when assisting and facilitating SMEs.

Become point of contact to branches and SMEs in providing financial advisory to:-
  • those SMEs that already in financial distressed position/could be potentially going into financial distressed position and
  • other related financial matters in relation to SMEs i.e. disputes on the banking terms & conditions, disagreement with the repayment assistance packages/terms.

Provide insights in developing the Financial Advisory Appointment / Tracking System user requirements.

Provide periodic write-up and updates to Management on the activities performed by the Financial Advisory Development team.

Update and provide assessment in the Master Listing on the cases attended for the day for both MEHD and GE.

  • Possess a Degree or its equivalent (preferably in Management / Business Administration / Marketing or any other relevant discipline) from a recognized University/College.
  • At least 3 years of working experience.
  • Must be able to handle multiple tasks and possess good work planning skills.
  • Must be independent, result oriented and team player.
  • Must be able to meet the turnaround time and properly organize the tasks. 
  • Good Credit Report.
