Bank Rakyat was established on 28 September 1954 under the Cooperative Ordinance 1948 (known as the Cooperative Societies Act 1993). Today, Bank Rakyat is the biggest Islamic cooperative bank in Malaysia with assets totaling RM89.18 billion as at end of December 2014.
The transformation in 2002 of the Bank from a conventional banking system to a banking system based on Syariah has enabled the Bank to record encouraging profits year after year. For the financial year ending 31 December 2015, we have recorded a pre-tax and pre-zakat profit of RM2.01 billion.

Positions:
1. MANAGER, BUSINESS CONTINUITY MANAGEMENT
Job Scope:
- To manage and ensure the overall Business Continuity Management (BCM)'s program throughout the end-to-end BCM lifecycle has been successfully implemented to all level in HQ's department and branches.
- To manage the development and implementation of Bank's BCM and Corporate Security Risk framework, policies processes and strategies in accordance with applicable regulations and comprehensive, effective, updated timely to remain relevant and workable.
- To steer the department in making crucial decisions with the objectives of enabling management to make more informed decisions within acceptable parameters of risk.
- To advise and manage BCM program to the Bank including BCM Strategy & Plan as well as recommending, advising and facilitating BCM Coordinator (BCC) and Head of Department at the business and functional units, in order to ensure the successful of BCM program throughout the Bank.
- To provide direction, technical advice, information sharing and facilitate problem solving on BCM and Corporate Security Risk related matters.
Job Requirements:
- Posses Bachelor Degree in Information Technology, Risk Management, Finance or any other related field.
- Minimum eight (8) years' experience in Risk Management/Business Continuity Management (BCM) or relevant field with ten (10) to fifteen (15) years working experiences in Banking sector.
- Posses Professional Certification in Business Continuity Management course & certified as BCP practitioner will be an advantage.
- Excellent critical thinking and problem solving skills as well as effective stakeholders management.
- Highly experience in incident and crisis management.
- Strong communication skills and able to interact with people at all levels in professional manner within the Bank.
