1. SENIOR DIRECTOR/DIRECTOR
STRATEGIC PLANNING DIVISION
Job Requirement:
Potential candidates must possess the following:
- presentable and confident;
- assertive and at the same time diplomatic and tact;
- meticulous in their work, with strong attention to details;
- highly analytical and methodical;
- ability to work under pressure and with all levels of society;
- accountable and quick in decision making; and
- highly results driven with a strong sense of urgency.
Technical requirements for the post are as follows:
- Degree educated or equivalent in an engineering, science or business administration discipline.
- Preferably at least fifteen (15) years’ experience of national, and international energy market, especially renewable energy industry and low carbon economy would be highly advantageous.
- Good understanding on the applied economic analysis, preferably within an energy/power system context ie. good understanding of factors shaping electricity demand and supply, market & regulatory developments.
- Well-versed and knowledgeable of Malaysia’s Energy Policies, Acts, the Malaysia Electricity Supply Industry and renewable energy would be highly advantageous.
- Excellent understanding on energy issues: national, regional and global energy trends and development and has demonstrated skills to coordinate and develop research areas.
- Proven analytical abilities as demonstrated in the past work products (analytics reports, quantitative analysis, operative models, and/or published papers).
- Teamwork, action oriented, problem solving, analytical and creative thinking.
- Ability to work accurately, pay attention to detail and meet deadlines, as well as organise work efficiently and deal simultaneously with a wide variety of tasks.
- Excellent interpersonal attribute including sensitivity, sound and strong organisational and leadership capability, able to work effectively and efficiently in a multicultural environment
- Experience developing, authoring of roadmaps/blueprints/journals, etc.
- Well versed in spoken and written Malay and English.

2. CHIEF OPERATING OFFICER (COO)
Job Requirement:
- Registered with Board of Engineers Malaysia as a Professional Engineer;
- A degree with Honours or Master degree holder of Engineering, preferably in Electrical Engineering and PhD holder is an added advantage;
- Have at least 20 years of related working experience;
- In-depth knowledge regarding the operation of the electric utility distribution and transmission networks, including connectivity methods and effects generation of renewable energy plants into the distribution and transmission networks;
- Have the relevant skills on the calculation method and costs involved in the generation, transmission and distribution utilities, including tariff setting and displaced cost;
- Has technical knowledge regarding the design and operation of the generators of renewable energy, including solar photovoltaic, biogas, biomass, small hydro, and geothermal including introducing the new renewable sources and technology;
- Has knowledgeable and experience on mechanical/electrical system including electrical and thermal safety;
- Experience in energy management, energy auditing, green buildings and/or energy efficient low carbon building facilitation, building services, design and energy simulation modelling is an advantageous;
- Has extensive experience in project management aspect at least for 15 years;
- Has knowledge, skills and experience in technology forecasting, market and business development, contracting, negotiating, change management and international as well as public relations;
- Experienced in drafting policies, strategies and implementation procedures as well as the ability to develop financial plans, resource management and strategic management;
- Ability to analyse financial data and to identify sources of finance; and
- Has professional communication skills in written and verbal as well as good interpersonal skills and team motivation.
